Integrate conversation platform: Website

1. Enter the settings page

1. Path one: Add web customer service chat

Click the left menu " Customer Chats > Inbox" , then click the top-right "+ Connect Platform" , choose the platform " Website "

2. Path two: AI assistant associate platform

Go to the left sidebar "AI Features > AI " select an AI assistant, click " Actions " icon, then click " Associate Platform " of the " Web XX Assistant "

3. Path three: Inbox operations

In the left feature bar " Customer Chats > Inbox " , select the AI assistant you want to configure, click the " Actions " icon to enter the inbox configuration.

Set platform name

  • In the " Platform name " field enter the AI assistant name you want displayed on the website

  • For example: "Customer Helper", "Smart Assistant", etc.

  • In the " AI Assistants In the "" dropdown, choose the AI assistant to use

  • This will determine which AI assistant the chat uses to answer questions

Set return URL

  • In the " Return URL " field enter your company website URL

  • When the user clicks the chat's return button, they will be redirected to this URL

Obtain and use the public URL

  • The system will automatically generate a " public URL "

  • You can:

    • Click " Copy " button to copy the URL

    • Click " Visit " button to open the chat in a new window

    • Click " Embed " button to get the embed code

    • Click " Embed preview " button to preview the embed effect

2. Appearance settings

Upload company logo

  • Click " Logo " area upload button

  • Choose your company logo image file

  • After uploading a preview will be shown; you can click delete to reupload

  • Click " Avatar " area upload button

  • Choose a suitable avatar image

  • After uploading a preview will be shown; you can click delete to reupload

Set color theme

  • Click " Theme color " picker, choose the color for the chat window title

  • Click " Title text color " picker, set the title text color

  • Click " AI assistant reply background color " picker, set the background color for AI reply messages

Enable theme switching

  • Turn the " Theme mode switch " toggle to the on position

  • Users can switch between light and dark themes

3. Feature settings

Set whether enabled

  • Set whether the chat is enabled to provide services

Turn off the enable switch

Set file upload

  • Turn the " Allow file uploads " toggle to the on position

  • Users can upload files for AI analysis, such as images, documents, etc.

Set display of referenced documents

  • Turn the " Show referenced documents " toggle to the on position

  • AI answers will display the source documents referenced

  • Turn the " Allow download of referenced documents " toggle to the on position

  • Users can download the file contents that the AI assistant referenced in the chat

  • Turn the " Show used tools and results " toggle to the on position

  • The system will indicate when processing via MCP or API

4. Interaction settings

Set greeting message

  • Enter a welcome message in the greeting input box

  • For example: "Hello! I am your smart customer service. How can I help you?"

  • Click " Add " button will add the greeting to the list

  • You can add multiple greetings; the system will choose randomly

  • To delete, click the delete button on the right of the corresponding item

Set conversation start questions

  • Enter default questions in the "Conversation start questions" input box

  • For example: "How do I apply for a return?", "What are the business hours?"

  • Click " Add " button will add the question to the list

  • These questions will be shown as quick options for users to click

  • To delete, click the delete button on the right of the corresponding item

5. Login settings

Set SSO login source

  • MaiAgent currently supports integrating SSO (Single Sign-On) via Keycloak

  • In the " Login source " dropdown menu switch between options

  • Choose to use MaiAgent or Keycloak as the authentication method

3. Auto-reply settings

You can set the bot's reply time periods here.

  • Click the toggle next to the date: select which days of the week to reply.

  • Set time period: select the start and end times.

  • Add time period: if there are multiple periods to set, press " + Add time period " to add and configure the time period.
