# MaiAgent Work Overview

MaiAgent Work is a ready-to-use AI workspace for every employee: MaiGPT, the Agent Marketplace, and AI Meeting. Access is granted by job role, while the enterprise centrally manages usage and records.

**Help everyone focus on more valuable work.**

MaiAgent Work is an AI workspace for employees. Search company knowledge, organize meetings, and use Agents from the marketplace for everyday tasks, all in one place. Start using it as soon as your account is activated, without building your own Agents. Administrators grant access to features and models by job role, while the enterprise centrally manages usage and conversation records.

## Get Started by Role <a href="#start-by-role" id="start-by-role"></a>

| ---------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Employee** | [MaiGPT](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/maigpt.md): Start with [AI Chat](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/maigpt/chat.md), then try [Creating Documents and Spreadsheets with Templates](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/maigpt/document-templates.md) |
| **Anyone handling many documents** | [File Library](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/file-library.md): Create a file workspace, then [Use Workspaces in MaiGPT](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/file-library/use-in-maigpt.md) to let AI read and edit files |
| **Frequent meeting participant** | [Create Meeting Records](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/meeting-records/create-meeting.md), then use [AI Meeting Summaries and Q\&A](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/meeting-records/summary.md) to organize key points after the meeting |
| **Organization administrator** | Set up [MaiGPT Role Permissions](/maiagent-user-guide/en/org/roles/maigpt-role-permissions.md) and [Member Credits Quota Management](/maiagent-user-guide/en/others/credits/member-credit-quota.md), then enable official Agents in the [Agent Marketplace](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/built-in-agents/management.md) |
| **Department knowledge owner** | [Create a Knowledge Base](/maiagent-user-guide/en/build/knowledge-base/km-basic-settings.md) first so colleagues can look up department information through MaiGPT or the [Agent Marketplace](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/explain.md) |

## A Common Starting Point: Internal Knowledge Q\&A <a href="#common-starting-point" id="common-starting-point"></a>

Most enterprises start with one department's manuals and SOPs:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Organize One Department's Documents <a href="#prepare-documents" id="prepare-documents"></a>

Select the manuals, SOPs, and frequently asked questions most relevant to the work, then upload them to a [Knowledge Base](/maiagent-user-guide/en/build/knowledge-base/km.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Let Colleagues Ask Questions Directly <a href="#ask-questions" id="ask-questions"></a>

Colleagues ask questions in MaiGPT or the internal Q\&A service. MaiGPT includes citations to knowledge base sources in its answers; click a citation to view the original document.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Expand to the Next Department <a href="#expand" id="expand"></a>

After verifying answer quality, apply the same approach to other departments. Control access through [Roles and Permissions](/maiagent-user-guide/en/org/roles.md).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Use Cases <a href="#use-cases" id="use-cases"></a>

* [Internal Knowledge Management](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/km.md): Professional knowledge, meeting needs, financial analysis, billing expenses, and credit analysis
* [Computer Vision](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/image-vision.md): Invoice, official document, business card, and ID document recognition
* [Writing and Content Creation](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/writing-assistants.md): Translation, official documents, legal notice letters, marketing copy, instructional material design, and conversation practice

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.maiagent.ai/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
