# Download and Knowledge Base Integration

Meeting record download and knowledge base integration: download transcripts, SRT subtitles, and summary files, copy the plain text transcript in one click, and upload meeting content to a knowledge b

## Download Files

After a meeting has been processed, you can get the following:

| Content                   | Where                                                                                                                                                         | Purpose                                                                                                        |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **SRT subtitle file** | Download → Download SRT Subtitles in the title bar of the details page | Includes timestamps; use with video playback or subtitle import |
| **MP3 audio file** | Download → Download MP3 Audio in the title bar of the details page | Archiving, offline playback |
| **Plain text transcript** | In the Transcript tab, switch to Plain Text and click Copy | Copy and paste, document archiving |
| **Meeting summary** | Export in the Meeting Summary tab (Markdown / PDF / docx / plain text / send by Email) | See [Export Summary and Send by Email](/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/meeting-records/summary.md#export-summary) |

If an option in the Download menu is grayed out: SRT cannot be downloaded until a transcript exists; while the audio is still being converted, "Audio converting" is shown, so try again later.

## Upload to Knowledge Base

After you upload a meeting transcript to a knowledge base, an Agent can answer questions based on the meeting content:

1. On the meeting details page, switch to the AI Q\&A tab
2. Select the target knowledge base (if a knowledge base was linked when the meeting was created, it is filled in automatically), then click Upload Transcript
3. Wait for the knowledge base to finish parsing, then start asking questions in the same tab

Once uploaded, the transcript becomes a document in the knowledge base, and an Agent can use RAG to retrieve what was discussed in the meeting.

### Use Cases

* **Project meetings**: Import the transcript of each project meeting into the knowledge base so an Agent can answer "What did we decide at the last meeting?"
* **Customer interviews**: Import customer interview records to make it easy to look up customer needs later
* **Training records**: Import internal training content to build an organizational knowledge base

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.maiagent.ai/maiagent-user-guide/en/work/meeting-records/download-and-export.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
